Colour lovin' 2013/ Life Paper Scrapbook Colour Challenge

So I was blog hopping recently and came across this sight, Life Paper Scrapbook.

I was drawn to their 1st Colour Challenge.
Check out how gorgeous the palette is

I raided my paint stash and mixed up the 5 colours in the palette.
Before watering them down and running and splatting them on my page.
It's a pretty bright page.
But it goes with my feel for 2013.
I want my year to be full of colour and happiness. After my last year of grief and darkness, I deserve light and happiness.
And I'm off to a good start this year as last month I ran the MS colour run. Sooo much fun.

Anyway back to my layout. Please excuse the dullness of the photos. It's overcast here today.

2013 Colour run/ Vicki's date night cyber challenge

I took part in the MS Colour run last month.
It was so much fun and I got a stack of awesome photos to scrap- Yipee!

This was a quick and easy layout for me. Don't you love those!

The layout is for Vicki's date night challenge over at the SBT50 Date night cyber crop.

Her challenge is themed around movies dates.

I picked the genre of drama- the criteria is "clean with a dramatic splash of colour"

Since dramatic splashing of colour is my thing at the moment I picked the drama category.

However I did find the "clean" aspect a challenge as I tend to have busier layouts.

Anyway here's my take on the challenge.

Notice the 2 gorgeous Ah Scrap goodies I have used on there, a purple dotty button and purple flower wheel. Get your own Ah Scrap goodies here

Products used:

The Scrap cake patterned paper

Sprinkles/ BW2 challenge

Happy Monday to you all!
I hope you had a nice weekend.

So normally I am scared off doing a layout on a black background. Im not sure why but I've always shyed away from black and tended towards lighter backgrounds.

But when I saw this gorgeous image shared by my scrappy friend Donna. I knew I had to challenge myself to have a go.

The image is from Black with 2 februarys challenge. The challenge is to use predominately black with blue, yellow and 5% white.
The gorgeous image is to help inspire you.
